JOB SUMMARY
The RBT at Elite Spectrum ABA is entrusted with a great deal of responsibility for the care of their patients. They must work within the guidance and oversight of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and/or RBT Supervisor, to deliver behavior analysis services and techniques to the best of their abilities. It is essential that they work closely with these supervisors to ensure exceptional and optimal patient safety. The RBT must take care to meet all expectations while providing effective services and maintaining a high level of patient confidentiality. With this in mind, they can help to provide excellent patient care and ensure that the best possible outcome is achieved.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Measurement
1. Implement procedures such as continuous and discontinuous measurement. (EF)
2. Collect data on client behaviors electronically. (EF)
3. Describe the behaviors and environments in observable and measurable terms. (EF)
Skill Acquisition
1. Identify the essential components of a written skill acquisition plan. Prepare for the session as required by the skill acquisition plan.
2. Use contingencies of reinforcement (e.g., conditioned/unconditioned reinforcement, continuous/intermittent schedules). (EF)
3. Utilize discrete-trial teaching methods, and naturalistic teaching strategies such as incidental teaching, task analysis, chaining approaches, and discrimination training. (EF)
4. Carry out stimulus control transfer, prompt and prompt fading, generalization, maintenance, shaping, and token economy processes.
Behavior Reduction
1. Able to identify the key elements of a written behavior plan, as well as the typical roles that behavior plays.
2. Incorporate interventions that are based on adjusting elements such as motivating operations and discerning stimuli. (EF)
3. Put differential reinforcement procedures into effect (e.g., DRA, DRO). (EF)
Documentation and Reporting
1. Able to identify the key elements of a written behavior plan, as well as the typical roles that behavior plays. Prepare objective session notes, which must meet the necessary legal, regulatory, and professional standards. Include an accurate account of all that happened during the session. (EF)
Professional Conduct and Scope of Practice
1. Adhere to the BACB's RBT supervision requirements and the role of RBTs in the service-delivery system. (EF)
2. Maintain professional boundaries. (EF)
3. Maintain client dignity. (EF)
Qualifications:
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- Graduate of education program approved by the credentialing body for the required credential(s) indicated below in the Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations section.
- Student of an education program on a path to working with persons diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- 1+ year of experience as a Registered Behavior Technician
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES AND REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED
- BACB RBT Certification (must be active and in good standing)
- American Heart Association CPR/BLS with a live component or willing to obtain within 30 days of employment
